A new blog. At last taking action...
I have lived in my flat for 8 years. It's a bit small now we have 2 kids but South London is expensive so we are stuck here for now. We live on a high street so do not expect it to be quiet but it's a village so only the passing drunk or emergency vehicle is loud! But we live next door but 1 to a bakery.
I have no issue with the baking, it's not noisy the guys who go out for a smoke are not noisy all night, that is until the delivery drivers turn up..
They leave the back door open, they rev and reverse vans right by us, set off the new van alarms, arm & disarm the alarms continuously, slam metal and plastic trays about. They are doing all this starting time about 11pm and finish about the same time the next morning.
I am sick of it, sutton council say I have to keep a record of it all...on paper! This is hard I'm a geek, a blog is my only way of recording this with a time stamp of my posts and an easy way to keep my evidence together. So we begin...
So last night just to give you an idea
2.30am myself &partner woken by van alarm set & reset at least 3 times.
3.30am myself, partner and our 4 year old was woken up by the same thing
Tonight so far we have had....
12.30am a customer I assume collecting something banging stuff into his vehicle then shouting thanks fellas .
12.34am staff car parked on our property blocking an entry route finally moves but it's an old mx7 banger so revved to the hilt.
12.36am van alarm set of, then revved hard as it's reversed up to near my property.
12.38am van alarm armed, disarmed then the slamming of metal trays into the back of the vans.
1.24am van still being loaded in drubs & drabs so you just start to doze off then they wake you again. Partner has given up & gone to the sofa. I am going to try and hide under pillows and try not to suffocate myself!
The chirping alarm has caused one funny incident, the other half thought there was parrots everywhere when it woke him up the other day!
Right let's give this sleep thing a go!
